Fifteen talented students from schools around Pierce County gathered at the Tacoma Nature Center last week for an award reception organized by the Thelma Gilmur Education Committee. Attendees enjoyed cookies and punch, received art supply gift bags generously donated (and beautifully decorated) by Artist and Craftsman Supply Tacoma, and participated in a nature drawing activity guided by local mural artist Curtis Ashby.
