DAYTIME: EXPLORING NATURE BOOK CLUB

FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
1:30 - 3 P.M.

 

This monthly discussion group is facilitated by different group members each month and meets from September through June. Books are chosen twice a year by group members.

Books to be discussed in 2024:

  • Jan 9th: Share a book you've recently read that others might enjoy.

  • Feb 6th: Better Living Through Birding; Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World, by Christian Cooper

  • Mar 5th: The Everglades, River of Grass, by Marjory Stoneman Douglas

  • April 2nd: National Poetry Month - share a favorite nature-themed poem

  • May 7th: Crossings: How Road Ecology is Shaping the Future of Our Planet, by Ben Goldfarb

  • June 4th: Remarkably Bright Creatures, by by Shelby van Pelt

  • Sept 3rd: The Comfort of Crows, a Backyard Year, by Margaret Renkl

  • Oct 1st: Birdgirl, Looking to the Skies in Search of a Better Future, by Mya-Rose Craig

EVENING: NIGHT OWL BOOK CLUB

THIRD TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
7 - 8:30 PM

This monthly discussion group is designed for people who can't make the daytime book club. Books are chosen twice a year by group members. Meetings held via ZOOM.
