The Puget Sound Seabird Survey is the only land-based or multi-month seabird survey in central or south Puget Sound: volunteer efforts will address a known gap in our understanding of wintering seabird populations.

We wrapped up the 2009-10 survey season in April.  We will be recruiting more volunteers during the summer, with a mandatory training on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 5-7pm at Titlow Park, in Tacoma.

You can read more about the seabird survey, including maps of sites, data analysis, volunteer opportunities, and survey protocol on Seattle Audubon's website: www.seabirdsurvey.org

We have several available sites along the Key Peninsula and Longbranch shorelines. To volunteer contact Krystal at 253-232-9978 or kkyer@tahomaaudubon.org
