The Puget Sound Seabird Survey is the only land-based or multi-month seabird survey in central or south Puget Sound.  Volunteer efforts will address a known gap in our understanding of wintering seabird populations.

Are you interested in seabirds and enjoy getting outside once in a while in the winter??  We are currently recruiting more volunteers to participate in the upcoming 2013-14 survey season, which begins in October.

New volunteers must attend a mandatory training in September.

You can read more about the seabird survey, including maps of sites, data analysis, volunteer opportunities, and survey protocol on Seattle Audubon's website: www.seabirdsurvey.org

We have several available sites in Pierce County and along the Key Peninsula and Longbranch shorelines.  For more information, to sign up to volunteer contact visit the website above.
